Powered by GoogleIt’s a city-owned field, and they didn't take pride in it at all. I’m a first-time parent at this little league, and I’m highly disappointed. I have a high-level background in coaching and have been around baseball all my life. We have some great kids here and supportive parents, but we didn’t get the support we needed from the city. As of 7/26/24, I’m practicing with my son for fall ball, and the infields were being taken over by weeds. The grass was unkempt, and overall, the field was poorly managed by the city. The president of the league was always there, working with the kids and doing lessons, but he was limited in what he could do to make this field great. Update - May 2025: Some positive changes have been made! The new dugouts are in, and the fields have been cleaned up. The parents did an amazing job putting up banners from local sponsors, which added some great touches. The fields are now locked with chains to prevent people from coming in with their dogs and using it as a place for their pets to play and relieve themselves. The food stand was being worked on, so we’ll see how this summer goes! Hopefully, these changes will make a big difference in the overall experience.
My children have been actively involved in the WH Little League Program since 2002. It is a wonderful program with many dedicated coaches and involved parents who truly CARE about the children. Our new mayor, and city officials have been diligently addressing any and all issues brought to their attention with regard to upkeep, repairs and safety. Our parents and children are all very proactive and pitch in to help to keep the field and dugouts clean. It has come a long way! And I understand there are more improvements coming... It definitely provides a very safe and enjoyable area for our residents.
No consistency coaches cancel games last minute with out text or email to parents. Dugout has had the same dead animal in it for the past 3 practices and parents found used condoms in the dugout as well with broken glass all over the place the fields aren't maintained. Waste of time and money. Very disappointing 😞
Needs alittle TLC but still many fields for little league.
