Our experience with this soccer club has been extremely disappointing and troubling. The coach, who also serves as the club’s director, consistently displayed abusive and unprofessional behavior toward the players. After games were lost, he would make comments such as, “You made me lose my entire weekend,” which left players feeling humiliated and discouraged. At the final tournament of the season, after families had already paid club fees, travel, and hotel costs, the coach became angry upon learning that 80% of the team planned to leave the club next season. In response, he acted unprofessionally and did not play the players for the remainder of the tournament. This behavior was disheartening to the kids and devastating for the families who had made the commitment and investment. The repeated verbal abuse and lack of respect have traumatized many players to the point that the majority no longer want to participate in soccer. This conduct is unacceptable for anyone working with youth athletes. Given that the same individual also oversees the Wellington Recreation soccer program, parents have very few alternatives without subjecting their children to this kind of treatment. I strongly believe a formal complaint should be filed with Wellington Recreation to ensure no other families go through this experience. Youth sports should inspire and build confidence, not create fear and emotional harm. No player should be treated this way, and this behavior should not be tolerated.

My son is in his 3rd year with this club. When he was 5yrs old he had 2 coaches (Coach Juan & Andreas) who were great with that age group. They weren't competing outside of the club, but the club hosted Jamborees to give them that kind of experience. The second year was not as great. Communication should have been better, and our team had months of no games. Also, we had one makeup session for multiple practices that were canceled due to weather (which we understand is not something the club can control) However, due to the experience in the first year, I opted to try another year. I am thankful we did. Coach Nuno and our team manager Leah have been great. Communication is consistent and detailed. Coach Nuno is not just focused on them as players but also who our boys are as people (their manners and discipline, etc). That matters a lot to our family. He has already offered make up sessions for canceled sessions due to weather and has made it clear to us as parents who he is, how he works, what he is committed to delivering and what he expects. Thankful we stayed because I believe my son will grow as a player and is with a coach who will also support our efforts in building good character. My encouragement for anyone joining is that this is overall a good club. Obviously, i can only speak from my experience. Support your team manager as best as you can and ask for information if you believe it's not forthcoming. Had it been for my experience the first year and this year (so far), my score would have been 5 stars easily.

Clem McAuley is the most amazing coach ever. He has taught me to fall in love with soccer and has taught me what it’s like to be with an amazing team who actually won lots of games, tournaments, etc. Clem is so kind and funny and I could never imagine having another coach. One thing Clem does not like is mean parents and I can understand why. But I would definitely send your kids to Clem if they want to be an amazing soccer player.

Everything is business so you are always paying to play tournaments, your weekends will be with them playing because they play every weekend holiday to get you to pay for it. You have to commit to do volunteer hours and if you don’t, you pay like $300+ fine. Your player will definitely be in a weak team if you are selected last during selection or try outs so think about it twice if you receive that e-mail that you made it to the team towards the end or after the last day because you are guarantee to lose almost all your games. The coaches are paid so some don’t know what they are doing or they just do the same practice drills every time so they don’t learn anything nor improve their skills. Read your agreement because you are stuck until the end no matter what and be ready to spend more money than the thousands of money that you pay just to get in the team. Good luck 🍀 and be ready to pay for almost everything or get a big fine $$$ They want your money and nothing more. There is always extra fees for everything. If you don’t volunteer, you get a $300 fine. Not worth it if your child is not to their level. They will just make a team of inexperience players

I really like this place! A lot of space! Friendly atmosphere. Excellent coaches . My son loves soccer here very much!
