VFW Camp Trotter is a nonprofit, state-licensed coed residential camp for children ages 7-12 on Bills Lake in Newaygo County, owned and operated by the Veterans of Foreign Wars of Michigan since 1949. Five weeks of camp each summer bring in children from across the country: it exists primarily for children of veterans but is open to military-connected and civilian families alike. Campers swim, boat, hike, bike, do arts and crafts, archery, softball, volleyball and campfire activities.

Camp trotter has been a family tradition, I'm 42 now, my father went to camp trotter before me, my brother and I went and all 3 of my children have gone. Camp trotter is the best childhood memory you could ever gift your child with!!! Hopefully my children will continue this tradition!!

It has everything a kid needs for the best summer camp. Top notch food and service. Cabins are clean and have good bunk beds and AC. Lake is set up for safe swimming for all levels of abilities.
