Very Merry Theatre is a wonderful asset and staple to our community. Thank you to Don, Mickie, Staff, and Donators for all the creativity, innovation, and passion you give our kiddos.
My grandchildren have had a delightful time participating in the Very Merry Theater . Their productions are so child-friendly . I love the approach . Their philosophy accommodates children who want “the lead” and other children who might love the stage , but who are a little on the shy side. Several children may want the same female or male part, and all of them are assigned the same character part , but their lines vary. Children are happy and not only do they receive professional training, but they learn from each other. Being with their peers is so valuable - that, too, is instructive. This is a theater production company that , bar none, that is exceptional in its approach and its caring for individual children on stage. It enriched my older granddaughter years ago and now it brings this same rewarding experience to my youngest granddaughter. Bravo, Very Merry Theater !!
I can’t say enough good things about Very Merry Theatre and the opportunities they offer to young people. From the very affordable participation fees to the amazing performances these kids put together with only weeks to prepare, it’s really impressive. I am convinced that Don Wright, the founder and executive director, is part angel, part magician. This photo shows my two daughters in a VMT production of “Oliver” several years ago.
My experience is with the Saturday 'Drama Club', or more correctly: Observing my 8 year-old son's experience. He seems to like it. The vibe is very much a creative free-for-all that still manages to pull together a performer-driven quick show at the end of the program. Good Stuff! Can't say much about anything else that the Very Merry Theater does, but their Saturday AM 'Drama Club' gets a thumb-up.
