Secondly, I'm a very skeptical person when it comes to buying any kind of training because I think most 'tennis pros' equate being a skilled player to being a skilled coach. And that speaks to the critical difference I find with Jarrod and Elroy which is that they would prefer to not teach a person how to play tennis but instead to become a self-coach so the student can troubleshoot on the court where it really counts. I surmise this because I've taken lessons several times, since I was a teen, to learn how to serve. And every time instructors kept teaching the 'one pm' serve toss approach which I just could not get and each time gave up. But Jarrod, in 15 minutes, understood *exactly* why that never worked for me and gave me two tweaks - one for the toss and one for the grip - and by the end of the lesson I was putting in some pretty darn good serves! ... and with a couple of practice sessions I could start to fix my own serve on the fly. I say that person is an expert - EDUCATOR ... they want to make you a chef instead of just following recipes. (And who is Laurie Judd? ... a five-star review but says nothing... why do people do that?)
