Tutu School Akron is a boutique children's ballet school at 2747 Crawfis Blvd. in Fairlawn, part of the Tutu School franchise and run by professional ballet dancers Katie and Grant Dettling. It teaches ballet to children roughly 18 months to 8 years old using a Ballet Storytime curriculum drawn from the classical repertoire. Its summer Tutu Camp sessions each center on one ballet story such as Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty, The Firebird or Cinderella, and campers take a ballet class, decorate costumes and stage a production of their own. We even received a call from one of the owners, Mr. Grant, checking in on her. That speaks to the extent that they go to make you feel like family. They remember details about my daughter and I feel she is not seen as “just another child”. She is so sad when we miss a class and you have opportunities to make up a class at your own convenience. They are reasonably priced and I can see us being with the company for years to come.

She says “Ms Sara, twirl” more times than anything else in the week, even at only 20 months old. The environment is safe, clean, and sooo much fun! We have made some mom and toddler friends and we look forward to our class every week! Tutu school is really good at keeping things exciting, every month there is an activity or event to look forward to, including unlimited twirling twice a year which is perfeccctttt for the winter months when we needed something to do! I cannot recommend enough! If you have a little one, Tutu School will change their life!
