Turning Pointe Dance Center in Latham teaches ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, hip hop, lyrical and modern for ages 3 to adult, from beginner through its competition team. Its published summer schedule offers three distinct camps: a Princess Camp for ages 4-6 (Mon-Fri 9:00-11:30am, $115) with themed dances, crafts, games and story time; a Themed Day Dance Camp for ages 6-11 (Mon-Fri 9:00am-2:00pm, $45/day or $200/week) where each day carries its own theme and families may send a child for one day or all five; and a week-long Dance Intensive for ages 9 and up (Mon-Fri 9:00am-12:00pm, $135) aimed at dancers considering the competition team. The studio also runs pop-up technique clinics and a weekly evening summer session.
