After six or so months I am 50/50 on this place. Her main instructor is awesome - great with kids; however, is often absent from her Saturday class and thus we get substitutes often. Each sub has this younger-individual mentality that it is not their class and the buy-in is low. We had enough of high-cost low-result class and thus have decided to leave. Furthermore, it appears each sub has a literal lack of any training whatsoever - today’s lesson, 21MAR2026, proved that and it was our last straw. Even though this place focuses on the serious aspects of dance, other areas lack. Overall, a less formal place may be a better option - as it is for us - headed back to Desert Dance Academy.

My daughter has danced at Tucson Dance Academy since she was 3 years old. She is now a Jr. in High School. The experience that she has had at this studio has been nothing but amazing. The teachers encourage growth and they really know how to bring out the best in each and every student. I don't believe that you will find another studio in town with the same experience and technique as is provided here. If you are looking for a studio that teaches your dancer amazing discipline and so many other life skills, then this is the place. The kids are like a second family and they rally to support each other both in classes and at performances and competitions. We love our dance family at TDA. Thank you so much to all of the teachers and staff for creating such a safe space for our kids to grow.

The environment is supportive and positive. The choreography and instruction are age-appropriate, which I truly appreciate as a parent. The director leads with outstanding character and solid values. There's truly something for everyone here—whether you're looking for recreational classes or more intensive training.
