Towering Pines Camp is a traditional boys' overnight camp on 450 forested acres along Lakes Nokomis and Clear near Eagle River, serving boys ages 7–16. Campers choose from creative and performing arts, horseback riding, marksmanship, sailing, team sports, swimming, tennis and outdoor adventure across 2-, 4- and 6-week sessions. It sits within the American Legion State Forest.

In all cases the experience wasn’t just fun and exciting, it was/is transformative. I don’t fully understand the secret sauce, but somehow TP, more than anything else, turns boys into men. Camp was one of the best times in my life. And that goes for my boys too. There is no better developmental option, that I know of. You learn so much about life and people. It is well worth the investment and the putting up with mosquitoes.
