Powered by GoogleOur daughter loves Woodland! This will be her 4th summer in the Northwoods. (She went for 4 weeks her first year and was a little apprehensive about it but, the minute we picked her up that first summer, she asked to come back for 6 weeks!) She grows in maturity, bravery, and independence every year and we love to see her blossom with her friends from all over. Cannot recommend Woodland highly enough!
I wish camps weren't so expensive and all children could try to go to one. Sad 😔
Our daughter and our whole family love Woodland! She's looking forward to starting her 3rd year there this summer and already talks about going for the next 10 years. Each year, she comes home more capable, confident, and independent -- it is a joy to see her becoming more and more herself through her experience at camp. We're grateful for Camp Woodland and looking forward to many more awesome summers there!
I send my daughter all the way from the east coast! She's gone for 4 summers already, and will probably go at least 4 more. It's the highlight of her year. A truly formative experience. She's developed deep friendships, become independent, and learned to sail and ride horses. I went myself for 10 summers as a camper and counselor. Woodland remains an important part of my life.
I am sold on the philosophy and intentionality of the program progression at Camp Woodland from beginning to end. The 2-week themes of ACCLIMATE - ACCELERATE - CELEBRATE are spot on! The long-term program is a MUST for kids today - they need the opportunity to work through their differences and face challenges. Anyone can make it through a week or two - it's the next few weeks where the real work of camp happens and the reason that the end is so fun and impactful!
