Tillie's Touch is a Syracuse 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides sports and school equipment and playing opportunities to children whose families cannot afford them, pairing soccer with an academics program. Its main youth offering is a Friday outdoor spring recreational soccer league for 1st through 6th graders, alongside an indoor league, a Bookworm Club and an academics track. Started in 2009, it works largely with children and teens from Syracuse's refugee and New American communities. These are donation-funded, season-long community programs rather than a summer camp.
