Threshold Learning Center (TLC) is a nonprofit nature, science, and Iowa-history education center on 28 acres of prairie, creek, and woods near Zearing, with a barn dormitory. In summer it offers a variety of day camps, several overnight family camps, and trips for junior-high and high-school students, plus after-school programs for grades 3–6. Its motto is 'No Child Left Inside.'
