I like everything about it the instructors are great and very helpful, other staff is always nice. I appreciate the convenience for me because I live up the street. It's always clean and well kept and I love the programs they have for the kids. Their is an exception of two things though. I think they should get lockers for the gym area so members can put their belongings up while working out instead of carrying them all around. Also they should get a separate pool where you don't have to just work out or do laps in. Other then that it's Fantastic...

They are my family! I have been a member since 2007! My youngest son grew up here. I left for 2 years and 6 months because I got a job that came with a house in Stone Mountain. So, during that time I was with Planet Fitness. In 2018, I moved back to Southwest Atlanta. I returned to the Carver YMCA, and there are some new faces. But, the old faces remembered me immediately! One of the trainers even knew how long I had been away! I was amazed! They were so shocked to see how my son had grown! I absolutely love this YMCA! When I had nowhere to take my son when he was younger because of lack of funds, I could always take him to the Y. He would visit his friends in the Daycare and swim! They had movie night and movies on the lawn! He took karate 🥋 and swim lessons! My son always had something to do. He was always excited about going to the Y. I love them! This is a great place for families! A great place for single parents! A great place for everyone! You will feel at home here because they will treat you like you belong here.

Love this location! The Line Dance class was especially fun with all ages welcome! Love the energy from the instructor and other class members. My husband enjoyed himself as well. Will definitely be back after we return from vacation.

I absolutely love having music playing while I’m swimming or working out at the YMCA — it sets the tone, lifts the energy, and helps me stay motivated throughout my routine. Whether I’m doing laps or lifting weights, the vibe really makes a difference. I also want to recognize the morning lifeguard — he is truly a standout. His dedication, strong work ethic, and friendly personality make the entire atmosphere better. He brings inspiration and joy the moment he walks into the building. His presence is not only appreciated — it’s valuable to my workouts. Just knowing he’s there creates a sense of safety and motivation that keeps me coming back. He’s a key part of why this YMCA feels more like a community than just a gym. Thank you for everything you do!
