The Sarasota Children's Garden is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit whose mission is to keep kids connected to nature, offering weekly summer nature-and-art camps for children. Camp days run 10:00am to 2:00pm in an outdoor, imaginative garden setting, with campers encouraged to wear play clothes and bring lunch. Member tuition is around $155 per week, with a small minimum enrollment per session.

★★★★★Brianne PhillipsI cannot begin to tell you how magical this place is! It is a beautiful piece of land tucked away downtown. There are gorgeous mature trees and vines providing the perfect amount of shade and sunshine. The first place you come to on the property after check in/gift shop is a dress up room with an amazing selection. My daughter had a blast in here! We proceeded to hobbitville with adorable tree house and mud kitchen (sans mud) to make nature delicacies. After that we visiting the rainforest with misters that not only provide awesome prism light but a great way to cool off. The sculptures and climbing structures throughout the gardens are so well thought out and perfect for open ended play. To be honest everything was incredibly well thought out- they even provide bug spray to use for a donation and the gift shop included homemade craft kits with everything you need (we bought a fairy wand craft kit that included paint, ribbon, adhesive gems and beads that my daughter really enjoyed doing when we got home). We could have spent hours upon hours exploring and imagining here if we weren't on a time constraint but will absolutely plan a return visit the next time we are in the area. We spoke to the owner who shared the story of how her mom thought up all the details and her brothers brought the ideas to life. She also shared that the gardens had a lot of damage after the last hurricane and it has been a slow process of cleaning up, rebuilding and repairing. I would encourage any and everybody to go check out these enchanted gardens and support this small, family owned business!!
★★★★Gloryanne MaldonadoNot bad for the price! Just visiting the area and it wasn't bad if you're into rustic theme. The negative was a lot of things needed cleaning! Such as the kids costume where the kids dress up they had dirt and mold on them if you pay close attention. The overwhelming smell that catches you even before you enter and certain areas ate not kept clean. Otherwise the place has potential, unique themes where kids can actually use their imagination and a sense of magic to it.
