★Tori Agnew0/10‼️PLEASE READ‼️ I am honestly extremely disheartened while writing this review. My child has an established IEP, this was communicated prior to them joining the after-school program. Do not send your children here if they have special needs. I was told that my child's accommodations could be met by the Director of Arts and Education, Mr. Neil Carmichael after speaking with his staff. His staff assured me they would carry her IEP with them to ensure they followed precautions as closely as possible. Not only did they fail to do so, several instances transpired that raise a concern on if the children are safe under the adults there. 1. While de-escalating, my child was allowed to be bullied and harassed by another child. The councilors made no immediate attempt to separate the children, thus leading to a fight and my child requiring medical care. 2. Following this incident, I called a meeting with the director and HR. During this meeting I addressed several policies that were NOT followed contractually. This included but was not limited to: staff having readily available emergency contact information, allowing a child with a documented emotional disability to be walked through the hallways in front of patrons while inconsolable, contacting a parent nearly TWO HOURS after suffering head trauma/abrasions, and not abiding by their own ZERO BULLYING TOLERANCE policy. 3. After siting all of these violations in policies, Mr. Carmichael stated I was being dramatic and that children bounce back from such things. This was swiftly followed by Sara Vansickle, the HR representative I asked to sit in the meeting, stating that this is just how things are, due to understaffing and limited pay availability. 4. During a game of dodge ball, I sat in to observe how my child was treated by staff. My child struggled to understand the concept of the game, leading to an outburst. A staff member I was unfamiliar with took it upon himself to yell at my child as I helped her work through her emotions. This transpired as Director Carmichael stood next to him. 5. She has now been asked to leave the program after another incident of not following their IEP. I was told she was suspended until Monday, just to be told on a Saturday she can not come back. This was due to her being physically removed from the rock climbing wall, thus escalating into a public outburst. If you love your child, you will heed these words. They are not inclusive, and do not stand by the foundation they are built on.
