I’ve had a membership for several years. I have a fused back and a total knee replacement and I simply want to swim with my 6 yr old child. There is a very limited availability to swim with a young child and the last 8x we have shown up to swim at the appropriate time and could NOT swim in the cove pool. I even tried to have my child swim in the lap pool and because she’s not able to wear a life vest in that pool. At 6yr old she can swim without a life vest unassisted but not the full length of the pool. The reasons the cove pool was closed range from kids pooping in the pool, lifeguards not showing up and closing early and more. It shouldn’t be so difficult to simply go to the pool and swim. When I spoke to staff they didn’t have any solutions. I live 45 minutes away. It’s hard enough physically for to show up and do my workout but having shown up on 8 different occasions to be turned away and have my child crying is infuriating! I even left a note in the book for the manager and 2 weeks out and no one contacted me.

Has anyone been to the Kroc center recently? I’m not sure if it’s just me but it seems like there are a ton of teenagers that run around without a parent and are disrespectful to not only other customers but also the staff. Also, has anyone noticed how there is a gentleman at the front desk (maybe an employee) that doesn’t smell the best and looks like he showed up to work drunk. Such a shame.

These pool hours are so ridiculous that I think it may be time to cancel. I’ve loved coming here with my kids especially for the wonderful experience we’ve had with playcare. But lately I just can’t believe how few amenities we get for the price—strange pool hours that make it impossible for people to go when they’re available, amenities like toddler gym closing whenever school’s out… Despite the closures the prices remain the same…I support third grade swim but why do we not get a discounted rate during that time when we literally can’t use the pool except during very limited rowdy family swim hours mostly on the weekend? And at rare times when we can make it to the pool for toddler hours, they don’t enforce rules for the entitled older adults that swim backwards against the current in the lazy river — they’re the ones going the wrong way but they look at you like you’re inconveniencing them when they have to get around you…ugh I’m just so done with this. Excuse me if I sound like a Karen but for the cost of membership I feel my family deserves to actually use the facility.

Great place to take the family. There are so many different activities! The kids get to enjoy the pool and us parents get to work out. They also have rock climbing and a little gaming area for the kiddos. On Sundays we like to pop by the Monday morning cafe and have breakfast before we join the rest for church. Great community here.

Is the lazy river, splash pad and pool always that cool? During toddler swim time a couple days ago, most of the mamas including myself were hunkered up in the "hot tub." Crossing my fingers it was an off day because it's such a great area for the kiddos.
