Education arm of The Sarasota Players offering week-long summer theatre camps for ages 7-14 (June-July) in acting, singing, and dancing. A longer performance camp for ages 11-17 takes students through auditions, rehearsals, and a fully staged public musical such as SpongeBob the Musical. Before- and after-care are available.

These kids are super talented and poured their heart and soul into every single note. The venue itself is a huge part of the experience. It features a unique square, ‘ring’ setting where the stage is surrounded on all four sides. This means there truly isn't a bad seat in the house—you are always close to the action, which makes the emotional weight of the story feel so much more personal and intense. A huge shout-out to the young actors who played Jean Valjean and Javert. Their performances were incredibly powerful, and the chemistry during their confrontations was a highlight of the night. It is inspiring to see such high-level talent right here in our community. If you get a chance to see a show here, don't miss it!"

What would it take to raise and stagger the few rows of seats so you don't have to crane your neck to see anything? And to boot why should the back row seats be cushion-less and unbearable after half an hour or so. One would love to stay for the after show discussions, but it is too much to expect after suffering for an hour or two. Again, great place for new productions. But those seats!!...
