The Philadelphia Dance Academy's Main Line studio in Ardmore runs summer programming for ages 2 through adult, including week-long dance camps, weekly classes and pre-professional intensives. Young dancers ages 4-6 do ballet, theater dance and Pilates; ages 6-10 build basic technique and add contemporary, Pilates and a student-inspired choreography class; serious dancers age 9 and up train close to 30 hours a week. Advanced dancers 13 and older with five or more years of ballet can enter a five-week intensive covering ballet technique, pointe, Pilates, yoga, Franklin Method, conditioning and injury prevention, contemporary, modern, hip hop and music theory, taught with guest faculty.
