Very kind lady at the front desk; she gave good recommendations for the local area and other things, but also helped quite a bit in signing me and my companion up. She couldn't have been more helpful. (I believe her name went along the lines of Addy-Jo). We came from Acadia which doesn't have any showers, and this place does a flat fee of $5 dollars per person, which is much more preferable to the coin-pay and short hours of other nearby places on the island. The facilities themselves work just fine, with the showers having warm water and no time limit for usage. There are handicap benches in the showers and two "chambers" (one for the bench and the other for the actual shower) seperated by curtains per each shower. They were decently clean and well-kempt.
Visited on a Monday around mid day to use the shower. Place was clean, and looked well kept. Lady at the desk was very helpful and nice.
The lady at the front desk was great. Her name started with a W, but I forgot her full name. Gym has everything that you need. It was not large, but it wasn’t busy. The men’s locker room was nice and had a large shower facility. They had plenty of free parking too.
Was in town to hike Acadia for the week and bought a week pass for $50 to use the gym every morning. Chester (my memory is horrible but I’m pretty sure that was his name 😂) was so lovely at the front desk and greeted me every morning! The gym had a great weight rack and plenty of equipment. Everyone was kind and respectful. Everything was clean and tidy. Will probably do the same next year when I come back.
