The Cleveland Foundry is a nonprofit community rowing and sailing center on the Cuyahoga River and Lake Erie offering summer youth camps. Youth sailing camps serve rising 3rd-8th graders (its youth sailing programs span ages 5-18), and rowing camps are offered for rising 6th-8th and 9th-12th graders. Week-long day camps teach on-the-water fundamentals, teamwork and problem-solving; sailing camps run about $425 per week and rowing camps about $375 per session.

There are some really unique views of the city skyline as well as the river which sometimes provides interesting sights such as giant freighters. Both of my ride share drivers had difficulty locating the facility which significantly delayed getting there and leaving.

They have a state of the art rowing simulator that is terrific.Many age and fitness level individuals come for exercise,training and a great healthy and fun time. Don't forget to get a selfie at the "Cleveland" just outside by the river.

For those water lovers needing a fix in winter time, the rowing tanks are powered to provide resistance but I just enjoyed hearing the whooshing of the rushing water. Off street parking was an added bonus as was the micro brewery across the street.
