Sutter Street Theatre is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit theater in historic Folsom that runs youth summer camps in which children and teens spend weeks immersed in the theatrical arts and collaborate to mount a full production performed for family and friends. Its Annex building also hosts year-round classes in acting, improvisation, dance, and music.

To give back to the community they work with the local book shop (Rubys Books) and offer story time once a month. I highly recommend coming to see a show and support your local theater!

The actors and actresses really do a great job drawing you into the story and making you feel part of it. It’s amazing how well they make use of the small stage. The accommodations were quite nice, especially for a venue so small and the surrounding businesses are quaint, lovely and accommodating. I went to go see the Evil Dead. It was my first time there and I have to say they delivered and everything and every experience they said they would. If you're into small theater or just a person who likes to experiment with different experiences, I hardly suggest this place. And if you don't know Evil Dead, there's quite a bit of violence and a little bit of cursing. But good fun for the right family.

Attended opening night for "Holiday in the Hills" and really had a good time. Just right mix of comedy, reverence and pure joy. Honestly I enjoyed this more than some of the big splashy expensive shows at large venues.
