Star Performance Academy is a Columbus children's theater offering musical-theater summer camps built on its 'be a singer, be a dancer, be an actor' approach, with formats ranging from week-long half-day and full-day camps to two- and six-week productions. Themed camps (such as Disney's Descendants and Alice in Wonderland) end in a showcase or production; private and group voice and instrument lessons are also offered.

A lovely community childrens theater. I was impressed but the lighting system used as well. I have watched two shows and my friends who have children involved all report loving the program.

My daughter just finished a summer class that started with an audition, and ended up with 2 weekends of performances (8 in total) and I couldn't be more impressed with the faculty or the quality of the lessons she learned. The place pushed her to learn her part.and to get better, all the performers put in tons of and countless hours, and the show was amazing. If you have a young person interested in musical theater, dont hesitate to enroll at Star, it easily worth the money. And the memories made are priceless.

My 8 year old son is doing a summer camp here - they are doing 101 Dalmatians. He was so nervous that I signed him up. This camp is organized and inclusive. By day 3 in camp, I can already see that my son is more confident and learning valuable lessons about team work. Highly recommend doing a camp here. We’ll be back next summer.

Did a one week camp with my 4 year old kid. She was the youngest in the group and she was treated kindly but definitely not taken as seriously as the older kids. She also told us they wouldn’t let her use scissors like the other kids even though she is quite capable of using them. I feel as though they shouldn’t allow such a large age range of participants because it makes it to where to youngest kids are sidelined. She did enjoy it though, so I’ll just probably wait until she’s older to enroll her again. It would be cool if they offered a class or camp for younger kids only so they get more experience and one on one guidance.
