The experience that I’ve had at this studio has propelled me to pursue a voice performance degree at Florida State’s College of Music. I’ve worked with countless directors throughout middle school, high school, college, and with professional companies. And Mr. Garvey is one of the best directors out there. He has the patience to work with those new to theater and the expertise to work with professionals, as he is one himself. He possesses incredible enthusiasm and knowledge about theater while paired with his passion for teaching. I’ve always looked forward to any interaction to learn, whether it be a rehearsal or an acting masterclass. Stage & Screen Studios creates a welcoming atmosphere from day one when you walk in for an audition. The rehearsals are professionally run and allow the performers to learn and grow in roles appropriate for them. The cast members quickly become friends, and rehearsals are something my child looks forward to each week. The staff teaches choreography, blocking, acting, and music, and they provide costumes and whatever the performers need to be stars on the stage. They also have opportunities to learn or help with the tech and costumes, so you can learn all aspects of putting together a show. By the end of the last show, the cast is overflowing with emotions as they have become like a family. They look forward to their next show together. We highly recommend Stage & Screen as a place to be an on-stage or on-screen performer!
