Stage It Up Youth Theater Group began in 2018 as an after-school drama program in Philadelphia's free libraries and now runs a six-week summer theater camp for ages 8-17 at 425 W Tabor Rd. Campers rehearse and perform original plays written by the director and participants, develop audition technique, and work with the program's emphasis on transferring stage skills into everyday life skills. It is led by artistic director Shekhina, who is also a licensed professional counselor.
