The Spenard Community Recreation Center, run by the Municipality of Anchorage, offers a 10-week ACA-accredited summer day camp for ages 6-12. Campers spend the day on a mix of team games, sports and swimming, arts and crafts, STEM activities, and water play, Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm.

For $5 they got to run around, push and ride on scooter boards, climb the foam blocks and slide, play with the parachute and generally have a grand old time for 90 minutes. Lots of space for dozen and a half or so littles to run around and throw balls (soft ones). Maneuvering the giant ball and "peanut" is always a favorite thing to do. Soft area for precrawlers to practice their skills. Bleachers for parents to sit on.
