Today we had a very disappointing experience with the Child Watch program at this YMCA location. This was our first time visiting, and we were excited to try it because of the beautiful playground and outdoor play area. At other YMCA locations, staff have allowed my daughters (ages 2.5 and 4) to stay together, which has worked very well for our family. My younger daughter has taken months to become comfortable being separated from me, and having her older sister nearby has been a huge part of that progress. I explained this to the staff and asked if they could remain together, but the request was denied. Unfortunately, within about 10 minutes, I received a call that my younger daughter was crying and unable to settle. As a result, our visit was cut short, and we decided not to return to this location. As a paying member, I was hoping for a little more flexibility and understanding of our situation. My oldest daughter was very excited to try something new, and it was disappointing for both girls that the experience ended this way. I understand that policies exist for a reason, but I wanted to share our experience and express how discouraging it was for our family. I hope the YMCA will consider allowing more flexibility in situations where siblings being together could help children feel safe and successful in the program.

I love the aerobics class. The warm water is really nice. My grandson broke his foot at one of there kids events and didn't call his mom. Just let him keep playing on a broken foot. I will never take my grandson to there kids event again. The staff didn't know his foot was broken he still played. We are just furious that they didn't call his mom when it happened and assumed he was ok. Now he is in a cast for 8 weeks. I wouldn't recommend the kids events especially when you leave them alone.

Nice facility overall, but the guest policy feels outdated and overly restrictive compared to most gyms today. Hard to justify paying for a membership when you can barely bring someone with you. For adults especially, it makes the membership feel less flexible and less competitive than other local options.

All talk… This YMCA needs to get with the STANDARDS that other YMCA’s are providing to our youth teams! It’s so sad to see the kids excitement game day be smothered by other teams that have a coach number one! Secondly that coach provides structure to the team with plays and a playbook! Total shame for this to even need to be said… Meet the standard so these kids can all have a positive experience learning these sports or don’t offer it half ass! ****To follow up… the very next game our coach didn’t show up again!!! This ymca needs new management!! ASAP!!

TLDR: pool experience was a mess today, will stick to other areas locations for a while! Pool has been really disappointing lately. When I asked this morning about the jets for the kids areas (tall jets, house splash area, water slide) I was told they are all broken. Random areas of the pool closed but not enforced to all patrons (my son and I were asked to move but another parent and a smaller child immediately swam there). Toddler girl today would only swim with her bottoms on, she was 4 maximum, and was immediately instructed to put a top on or get out. Parents put her top on but she cried the whole time. If the toddler-adult male are okay to swim without tops on, not sure why a toddler female is deemed inappropriate. Recommend to skip this location until they get it together.
