Boys & Girls Clubs of Pueblo County has operated since 1972 and runs nine clubhouses and four extension sites across the county, including Avondale, East Side, Sprague, Minnequa, West Side, Prairie Winds, Pueblo Academy of Arts, Liberty Point International and the Ray Aguilera Teen Center. Members attend a six-to-nine-week summer program plus after-school and all-day Friday programming, with structured activities and meals provided; East Side summer hours run Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Support services are at 635 W. Corona Ave.

★Patty JonesMy children have been attending the after school program for a little over a year now. My children have behavior difficulties and this was discussed from day one that they started the program. Ms. Nikki has been absolutely amazing and very accommodating for my kids. Now yes there have been discussion about my kiss and 1 of them is potentially autistic and being tested for Autism and other disorders and is diagnosed with O D D which is oppositional defiance disorder. He gets over stimulated easily and noise causes his anger to escalate. Now I am in agreement with safety being a big issue when he runs off but to tell me 1 of my 3 children is no longer welcome but my other 2 are welcome. Now my son is extremely upset, doesn't understand and is crying and even distant with me. He didn't deserve this.
