SDAA is my happy place, and this is coming from someone who despises exercise. I took my first class in November 2024 and immediately fell in love with hanging upside down. I took out a membership right away and have been going consistently two or three times a week ever since. I would go every day if I lived in Sioux Falls. SDAA offers a non-judgmental, body-positive environment where I can push my own limits. Both the instructors and the students are incredibly supportive. I started at a low point in my fitness, but my first silks instructor, Erica, kept assuring me that I would improve if I kept at it. (She was right.) Kristen's Sunday beginner's lyra class has been my go-to for over a year because it's challenging but also accessible. She shows students a few different options so that people of all skill levels can execute the sequence. The strength and stretch classes and aerial yoga have also helped me gain mobility and muscle. All the instructors—Grace, Ashley, Katie, Chris, and Kourtney—have shown me so much patience and made me want to come back week after week. SDAA offers many options as well as open gym time where one can practice their skills. No matter what your weight, how out of shape or old you might be, or anything else that might make you hesitant to try aerial, SDAA is an excellent place to begin. They didn't care how bad I was; they just kept encouraging me to come back and keep practicing. I'm so much stronger and healthier now. And there's nothing like hearing the whole gym break out in cheers when someone finally achieves a move they've been struggling with for weeks. If you’re at all curious about aerial, then I highly recommend SDAA.

We had an AMAZING time for my daughter’s kids silks party at SDAA! Katie did a great job supporting each of the kids to feel confident and comfortable in trying many things! The kids had a blast with lots of laughs and smiles! I highly recommend this unique party experience!

I’ve been a member with SDAA for 4 months now and it’s been INCREDIBLE. My plan originally was to go weekly and now I find myself there almost daily! The staff is knowledgeable, patient, fun, and the most welcoming people you will ever meet. I’ve taken group silks, hoops, aerial yoga, intro to circus fitness, bungee fitness and strength/stretches classes, and also a private lesson with Katie (one of the owners). I love utilizing the open gym time slots to practice things I’ve learned in class! The group classes are small enough where you feel like you are getting a private lesson and sometimes you get two coaches per class! My kids have also participated in their children’s classes. My 4 year old loved the mommy and me class, and my 10 year old has been trying different apparatuses as well! Whether you’re looking to try it one time or looking to make aerial your main form of fitness, this is the place to give it a try. Staff and members of all ages will be there ready to hype you up! 🤸‍♀️

My daughter started with a private lesson with Katie and loved it so much she wanted to join a group class. She had taught herself some skills at home, and the coaches have been great at helping her fill some knowledge gaps and teaching her new skills. We live out of town and sometimes can't get her there as often as she wants to go. The coaches are always welcoming when she comes to class.
