Daycare Employee Brought Police to My Home — Unjust Expulsion of My Child *Parents deserve to know the risks before trusting this facility with their children* This happened in 2023 but I just gain courage to wrote about it. My 5-month-old daughter was expelled from this daycare under circumstances that were both shocking and unprofessional. On June 28, 2023, a daycare employee, Jenny, came to my home with police officers and my daughter’s mother. She stood outside my house, escalating a personal custody matter without any valid legal justification. This action caused severe distress to me and my child, and directly interfered with my rights as her father. (See attached photo of the police outside my home) After this incident, I went to the daycare on July 3 to request an attendance record for my daughter. Jenny was there with her husband, the only reason Jenny’s husband was present at the daycare was because I called ahead and said I was coming. Despite having no authority, he attempted to force me out and confronted me aggressively. The daycare then claimed I was “violent” toward staff — an accusation I strongly reject and have video evidence disproving it. In the photo attached, you can see the staff member’s husband glaring at me, illustrating the hostile environment I was subjected to. The director later told me that my daughter was expelled, citing “too much drama” and staff “not being paid enough to deal with it.” Because of these actions, I was prevented from seeing my daughter for nearly a year. It took 10 months of legal proceedings to establish paternity and regain my rights as her father. The daycare’s involvement, false accusations, and lack of professionalism caused immense harm and lasting damage to me and my daughter. This daycare failed to act in the best interest of a child, violated my rights as a parent, and showed a complete lack of accountability. This daycare’s conduct amounted to false accusations, interference with parental rights, and a complete breach of their duty of care. Parents deserve to know the risks before placing their children here.

My kid has been going here since he was 8 months old. He loves it. Once he started walking, as soon as he’s free from his car seat he walks right in by himself. He gives the biggest hugs to his teachers as soon as he sees them. I have to remind him to say bye to me. The teachers are amazing, and so is the director! They’ve been very flexible with him every step of the way. From giving formula to starting solids, and even helping with potty training.

Couldn’t be happier with this center ! My little one cried hysterically for a year straight at his prior daycare , prompting the change to smart kids . On day one he didn’t cry & hasn’t cried once sense ! To me, that speaks all volumes ! I love how consistent the staff is , it’s always the same faces , sense we started a year ago . Keeping great teachers is also a good sign of a good center and good care . My little guy loves his teachers and is excited everyday to go, making being a working mom so much easier . My daughter loves the summer school program . There’s so much more positives I can say but we simply love this center , the happy faces , the good mornings every morning from every teacher and the peace of mind knowing they are truly taken care of with staff who actually take pride in the lives of these littles .

I just transferred my four year old daughter here the beginning of this month. She has been to one other daycare center but she always had mixed feelings about going. She was very nervous to go somewhere new and from day one she has loved it more than I could imagine. She used to beg me to miss work and stay home with her and now even on my days off she is begging me to take her. Her teacher is incredible and so sweet. Everyone on the staff is so friendly and kind. The best decision I made was to bring her here.

Smart kids is amazing: staff is very open and patient with all day to day care of our child. They do a great job organizing events, holidays, and learning experiences throughout the year. They have helped potty train and educate our child to be a great human being.
