It is a fantastic place to stay. Went to band camp there from 1980 through 1984 and now we have band reunions every year. We love the peaceful atmosphere and the way it allows us to unplug from the world for a while!!
This is an awesome and unique gem of a place stashed away at the foot of the mountain. Historic hotel turned retreat, outdoor church, and a hike up the hill to the cross. Definitely check it out and say hello to the resident tabby cat 🐈 that welcomes visitors.
Wonderful retreat to relax, recover, walk/hike and explore Virginia’s beautiful hills and countryside. Such a peaceful place. Very friendly staff. Good wholesome food. Lovely spot with historical background.
The place was immaculate with all of the modern comforts of wifi and private restrooms in each room. On the other hand, the serenity of nature at the pond or on the lawns was heartwarming. Our hayride through the mountain as beautiful and refreshing with the sun warming us along the way. The dining hall always had the best food with a friendly staff and hiking was easily accessible.
