Shreveport Little Theatre, one of the oldest continuously operating community theatres in the country, runs a summer camp through its SLT Academy for children ages 6 to 17. Campers learn acting, singing, dancing, and stage-combat choreography while building performance skills. The academy stages youth productions throughout the year.

Took the 3 oldest great grandkids to see Ruldolph, Jr. And they loved it! I loved watching the kids having such a good time watching so many kids perform. It is so nice to see kids involved in the theater. The theatre is nice, clean and a wonderful part of Shreveport history!
We had a GREAT time! We attended the production of 9to5. The entire cast was amazing!! Special shoit out to Jaime Lucas' portrayal of Violet Newstead.
I very much enjoyed the matinee show It’s A Wonderful Life! I encourage others to visit the fabulous SLT building and be a part of the comfortable audience. I’ve seen It’s A Wonderful Life movie many times but the onstage presentation had an impact on me, as well as the group I was with, that the movie didn’t. Thank you, SLT, for a wonderfully impactful theatre experience.
Inside and outside, the theater is gorgeous. It may be a little theater, but it's big on charm. The play was outstanding. The acting, the singing, the dancing...I never felt like I was at a simple community theater, more like a big production one. The cast was very talented. Meeting them afterwards was great because they were very personable. Going to get season passes next year.
