Powered by GoogleMy two children & I have been going to Shinpu-Ren karate for about 3 years now. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Supportive of goals their students set for themselves. They provide more then just a traditional karate school providing multiple programs along side their main style. They start working with children as young as 5 years old.
Trained with Shin-pu Ren in high school and college, now again with my 8-year-old. When I found Shin-pu Ren, I had been training in a less formal taekwondo school for a few years. The students and instructors were some of the most athletic people I had met, and I quickly determined that the testing criteria was far more rigorous than my previous experience. I got to work with them for a few years before adult life and kids took priority. 10ish years later, I get to bring my kid back with me, and I still find the same level of dedication, the same high expectations, and the same reputation for winning that I remembered!
My Grandson went here and was bullied to the point he quit. But they don't tolerate bullies.
Alex and his family/team at shin pu ren are the only choice for martial arts in the quad city area! Real Martial Arts! Discipline! Structure! Excellent Dojo!
Great family atmosphere, great instructors teaching a variety and aspects of the martial arts. My kids loved it and there's always something new they're learning and mastering. It has been awesome to see them develop skills for self-defense and principal of discipline that will benefit them for the rest of their life. I highly recommend this dojo.
