Sedgwick Farm, founded in 1897, is a non-profit Syracuse club with the only outdoor red clay tennis courts in central New York, run largely by member volunteers with two part-time staff and a few pros. In partnership with the Dunbar Association, the club offers a free three-week summer tennis camp for kids: attendees spend half the day learning tennis fundamentals outdoors with area instructors and the other half in typical day camp activities in the clubhouse. The camp began during the pandemic to give children served by Dunbar an outdoor activity and has run for several consecutive summers. The club also hosts junior tournaments and clinics.
