My son has been coming here for a while now and he absolutely loves it. While the students certainly develop their technical skills, the curriculum goes far beyond standard music theory. It builds confidence, fosters teamwork through group performances, and keeps the kids genuinely engaged by making the learning process fun. It’s been great seeing him gain so much confidence on top of learning his instrument. The owners and all the teachers are amazing people. They’re super supportive, clearly know their stuff, and they’ve built a really great environment for the kids. If you're looking for a music program that actually sticks, I can’t recommend them enough.

Our boys recently started at School of Rock York and are having an amazing time. They keep asking when they get to go back for their next lesson, which says a lot about how much they love it. The staff is wonderful and accommodating. We’re excited to watch their skills and love of music continue to grow!

If you want to learn to rock out, go to School of Rock. SOR provides an awesome music experience for kids and adults. School of Rock gives my kids the opportunity to learn music and then perform at venues using the skills they learned. Great experience from the coaches, band leaders and staff.

Great place to become a rockstar! The people are terrific, and my son looks forward to going every week. When the owner, Bernadette, heard that my son wanted to tour the world with a rock band, she added him to the adult rockstars' performance. He performed first with his teacher, Joe, and he absolutely loved it. He has autism, and I can't thank Bernadette and Joe enough for being supportive of his goals and giving him the opportunity to succeed! Highly recommend!

My son has only done the Rock 101 summer camp, but it has been a very positive experience for him. He was able to walk in the door with little to no musical experience and then play an instrument in a band with other kids right away. He has done other summer camps before that more closely followed his ongoing interest in tech, but often failed him for being too large in class size, and he was left sometimes feeling ignored or even disrespected by the other participants and instructors. He has definitely had quite the opposite experience at School of Rock York. Low teacher to student ratio has been a boon to learning and fun. Whether he chooses to take another camp or even lessons in the future, he left with a memorable experience and has even said this has been his favorite camp so far. Pretty impressive for a program to get a review like that from a kid with little to no prior musical interest or experience.
