Powered by GoogleSuch a wonderful and beautiful hidden gem! The staff are very kind and considerate and have helped my children grow into their best selves while attending the homeschool program, after school program, and summer camp these last few years. The location has a very fun variety of things to do, from staying in treehouses, boating, zip lines, rock wall climbing, archery, camp fires and much much more. The serenity being out in nature brings is so needed these days, and I'm beyond happy to have found such a safe and welcoming place to visit.
So far I don't have anything to say about the camp program itself but I gave it a 3 because the road back to the camp after getting off the main road is horrible I feel like I'm going to need a front end alignment soon. It's all dirt road but it's got some big dips and washboard areas going thru. They should really consider having the road conditions fixed.
My organization hosted a weekend camp for teens. The location was incredible, beautiful and had tons of cool activities. We stayed in the cabins and they were rustic yet very clean. Trez and Lexi were SO AWESOME. The kitchen staff are all so sweet!! They treated our teens with such care and respect. They are fun and professional. My favorite part was the HAY RIDE. It was pure joy. So welcoming and accepting. Thank you!!!
Beautiful Place to go & camp away from the hustle & bustle of it all, but not too fra from Town. At the Camp O saw trails, a lake, a pool, a small hotel, an activities center. Many cabins a few tree houses, a playground, a few designated parking spaces & tons of wild nature to enjoy with Family, Friends or for a fun Work place Gathering. Also fit to do Activities of just about any kind, like Church Outings, Weddings, Birthdays, Social Gatherings, God Encounters, Wilderness Walks, Youth Bible Studies, Baptisms in their lake or pool, Town Fair, School Socializing or you name it... I'm going to suggest it for our next Family Reunion, although I did not look inside any of their Cabins, Hotel Rooms or Activities Centers. We were there for our Church Youth Camp & over 800 people showed up with kids, young adults, & a mixture of grown ups. No pets are allowed, which i truly loved, because I have been camping where thr dogs or cats won't let you sleep at all, & it is a terrible idea; trying to get away from it all & not really rest at all; so their rules are wonderful, are neccessary & fair. I'm not sure about prices, sonce we were sich a large group, but I'll be callingvto see how prices are for various other activities... In the lake side i saw Kayacks, this may be an additional expense, but maybe not I saw a water jumping pad, close to a tower, yet; if kids are roudy, it's not something I'd reccomend... The staff I talked to was very nice, helpful, they checked on our trash cans all over our camp, we were divided into maybe 10 to 12, plus a ton of vehicles, plus people that came in from all over just for our Sabbath Programing. We divided everything into Sessions & although I didn't stay for the entire weekend, we had huge gathering tents, campers from all over North & South Carolina, each Church brought it's food, & supplies, we brought sound & recording equipment, stagr equipment & had first aid stations with Staff Nurses & a Super Organized Church Leaders had rvetything under control. So, as far as I know, there were no major incidents to regret. Lods eere eell behaved & everyone had fun. Although Saturday was a full day with a lot of sit down programing. ☝️💓🎶 We had a Conference Pastor joining in the fun & I saw nothing but helpful Mothers & Fathers all over. Had a few baptisms too & the Camp had their lifegurds on duty for this section, just in case; so my thoughts are all great when it comes to Rockfish Camp & Retret Center, mainly loved that they are a Christian Camp. You enjoy the difference, when there's no alcohol nor drugs involved in the social activities. Praising God! ☝️💓 🙌 THANK YOU TO OUR CAMP STAFF & CHURCH STAFF! #ROCKFISHCAMP&RETREATCENTER, #Adventists, #JóvenesAdventistas, #RockfishCamp, #Rockfish, #AdventistYouth, #FaithvilleSDAChurch, #SDA'S, #SDAChurch, #PastorJoséVicenteRojas, #Sabbath, #PastorJosuéCruz, #AdventistasDelSeptimoDía, #SabbathKeepers, #AdventistYouthFederation, #GOD, #FESJA, #INVENCIBLES_INVINCIBLES, #JESUS, $GodIsLove, #RockFishRocks, #Faithville, #PastorChristianOmarCordero, #KellyMarchena, #FederaciónDeJovenesAdventistasDeLasCarolinas, #AdlaiAlers, #LuzParaHoy, #FaithvilleSpanishChurch, #FayettevilleSpanishSDAChurch. #Invencibles, #Dios, #IglesiaAdventistaDeRaeford, #ShannonSDAChurch,
"Peaceful" is the term our men's retreat uses when describing this wonderful place. The staff are warm and welcoming, and clearly see their service as ministry. The grounds are wooded, and the small lake is very still. Accommodations range from very rustic cabins to adventurous tree houses to the motel-style Bergland Center. The food is basic but plentiful, and the buffet service cheerful. Two bonfire pits, several trails, a disc golf course, and lots of space to enjoy the outdoors.
