On some days, you just might feel like you've been pushing a rock up a hill under fluorescent lighting, stifled by stale air and the feeling that you just can't catch a break. On other days, you're kicking back with dear friends and family, relaxing somewhere especially idyllic: a placid lake with a mirrored surface, with the pleasant aroma of jasmine wafting in the air....or maybe somewhere else, like sitting on a beach with soft, white sand, listening to the surf gently rumble and crash upon the shore before being swept out beneath a blanket of twinkling stars. Rockbrook always feels like one of these special places, and never like the first. My only complaint is that I don't yet have a little girl to send here. Good day.

My daughter is international camper from Asia. And she spend 4 weeks here. She love here and have a lot fun. This camp may best choice ever in her life. Staffs are best ever. We communicate them with email and their response is super lighting speed. Also very helpful counsellors, and medicals, also yummy foods, ... probably there is nothing need more. They have very long history and tradition. And also they are fully ready for world wide campers. We already enrolled the camp for next year. Have fun. Learning a lot. It is our best luck to know here. And luck to have daughter, so we can send her here. We are very proud of ourselves make this quite challenging decision that send daughter to 15 hours of flight distance camp.

We are a third generation Rockbrook family. My mother and aunt attended Rockbrook in the 50's and 60's. I attended in the 80's and early 90's and now my daughter has finished her second year there. We love it. Rockbrook holds a special place in our hearts. It is our summer home where cool mornings, even cooler streams, and the fresh dewy smell of the Pisgah forest awaken your soul. My daughter is making her own memories and new friends there as she is growing up. Just like me, she now talks about camp all year long, looking forward to next summer when she can return again. We'll have our handcrafted mugs, woven pot holders and friendship bracelets to carry us through until next year, Rockbrook!

Our daughter attended Rockbrook for the first time the summer of 2022. There are not enough words to describe the incredible experience she had during her time at camp. She returned home more confident, independent, and with a stronger sense of self. We really like how she was able to select her activity choices and make decisions on how to spend her time. She sings the camp songs daily and is always asking "how many more days until camp"! The directors, counselors, nurses, cooks, and the entire team are amazing. They answered all of our many questions throughout the application process and assisted with helping to get our daughter prepared for her time away. The emails and communication system are very helpful, and we greatly appreciated the wealth of details provided to ease our minds as first time camp parents. We felt so welcome on drop off day and knew our daughter was in the best hands. We look forward to many more summers at Rockbrook and urge you to strongly consider this wonderful camp for your daughter.

We've just picked up our daughter from her first time at Rockbrook (her first sleep-away camp experience). From our first conversation with Sarah many months ago to pickup day, I have been so impressed by Rockbrook. The Directors' commitment to open, honest conversation with parents and the intentionality with which all activities at Rockbrook are undertaken are incredibly impressive. From the penpal program, to the extremely helpful packing list, to daily (sometimes multiple times a day) photo posting, to counselor engagement, Rockbrook is the best of the best from a parent's perspective. But most importantly, our daughter LOVED camp. She loved the extensive choice of activities, the food, the counselors and especially the adventurous off-camp trips (white water rafting!!!). She will most definitely be returning to Rockbrook!
