We went to the family winter camp and it was a blast! The staff were all so welcoming and friendly. Its definitely a family memory that will last a lifetime.

I went to this camp for 3 days a couple of years back for a school trip. Overall, it was a pretty good experience. In the experience of my school, we weren't allowed to bring any devices, which meant we couldn't talk with our family for the whole trip. We had 2 instructors, a day instructor which we stayed with during late morning to afternoon, and a night instructor which we stayed with during the rest of the afternoon, night, and early morning. Our day consisted of getting up at 5 am, getting dressed and ready for the day for about an hour. At 6 am, we would go out to do whatever activity we had that day. Then we'd go to the cafeteria for breakfast. The food was good overall, nothing special but definitely better than what our school was serving us. We'd be randomly put into tables, which meant we couldn't sit with our friends voluntarily. Then, we'd go with our day instructor, which we would spend doing activities, and eat lunch with. We'd then be sent into the cafeteria to eat dinner and sent with our night instructor. We would usually do a short activity outside in the middle of the night, get ready for bed for about an hour and lights out. We we're told we could not make a single sound through the night, or else we would get in trouble. We got to listen to calm music through the night. However, me and the rest of our cabin we're barely able to sleep during those 2 nights. Our instructor walked around the cabin, and we could hear his footsteps. About the activities we did, it would involve us exploring the area, which had beautiful views, educational information or stories about the place, plays that we came up with or that the stuff worked together to present, or just random games. About my experience with the bathroom, we we're able to go to them every once in a while through the trip, our day instructor would take us to a random cabin so we can use the bathroom in there. The bathrooms were nice overall. However, when we had to shower, it was a different experience. Firstly, we only had 5 minutes to shower, which in return we couldn't really wash ourselves properly. There also wasn't a proper place to keep our soaps at, so we had to put them on the ground. I'd also want to point out that during our trip, the water got contaminated with Chlorine, not dangerously, but it was strong enough that we could taste it, and it wasn't pleasant. A lot of us resorted to not drinking any water unless we needed it because of the taste. Overall, it was a good place to unwind at for a few days, and since I was only gonna stay there for 3 days, maybe that could've impacted how things we're handled.

I didn’t have a good experience at High trails. The food was in small portions and they only gave small seconds. When I wanted to go home, they simply said I couldn’t because “it was too late and it’s too dark to drive up here.” And they didn’t call my mom when i was crying. One of the field instructors, Jacob made me and my other friend carry a water jug 3 times in a row WHILE we were carrying our heavy backpacks. I got letters from my parents and I said to him “could I open it?” And Jacob said “no not now.” And I was thinking why did you give it to me then? I had to wait about 3 hours to open it. Over all they were very strict about the experience like it was boot camp instead of a fun camp. In conclusion i did NOT Ike my experience at High trails. If you ever look forward to going I’m warning you.

Best camp I ever went to, 6th grade food was good, the staff was really the best. When I couldn't see when the glass fell, one staff member asked my peer to help me walk to the cabin, and when they helped me out. I really miss it and want to go visit

This place was horrible. Do not go to the bathroom there was crap on the floor. The food was horrible. do not trust the reviews. There was cockroaches in the bathroom none of the counselors, showered one of the faucets, broke and got all of our clothes, wet the food was moldy, and it was cold do not send your kids you please kids faked being sick so they could just go home. That’s how bad it was. this was the winter camp. and they do not clean the beds. After other people there was crumbs. and we had to take off our gloves to pick up snow. And when I touch the snow, my fingers went numb for three days straight I could not feel them for two days straight and if there was pee on the toilet seat and it wasn’t ours, they would make us clean it up matter what no matter what there’s mold on the showers and it took five minutes to heat up but we only got to shower for three.
