Powered by GoogleI’ve been going here for a year and there’s constantly an issue. The pool is regularly unavailable due to chemicals or overcrowded lap lanes, machines are always broken, and most classes are scheduled during the workday. Overall, the facility feels poorly maintained for the cost of membership.
2nd floor cardio and weight room is depressing as all get-out. Fluorescent lights and outdated machines. Not a pleasant place to work out, so I stopped going. Also, the pool water appears to be toxic and full of chemicals. Many others have complained about this but nothing seems to be done to mitigate the issue.
Been going here for a while. It's well organized and easy to find what you need and want to do. The community is realy nice too there alway glad to help.
No sanitizer with paper towels to clean workout machines so the machines are filthy. The pool has a inch of scum around the edging of the entire pool. People wearing their gym shoes in the pool. People wearing their gym shoes , street clothes in the steam/ sauna rooms. Was told by a member of the pool staff that the pool and hot tub is only cleaned once a year ( June) and this must be true as the hot tub is smelly , slimy and has a floating film of dead skin and debris. The men’s locker room is absolutely filthy the floor is dirty and the entire locker-room smells like dirty feet . Was told by a member of the staff that the woman locker room is over flowing of dirty water that in returns flows into the mens locker room halfway to enter pool area witch has a very foul oder.
The YMCA is truly striving to make a difference in our community. Not only do I appreciate all the benefits and services provided as a member, the YMCA allows volunteers like me to have the space to make a difference in the lives of teenagers in our community. Over the last year I was able to be part of a team of volunteers that brought a youth mentor program to life through the YMCA right here in our city. The YMCA is the perfect location for kids to play basketball, receive tutoring, talk to adults about their lives, enjoy a snack and learn from a variety of professionals from our community - all in a safe environment.
