This pool would be great if the person in charge of the schedule were replaced or at least open to suggestions. It's wildly inconsistent with very short notice for changes. The staff is amazing but the management is awful. It's a constant series of poor decision making and inequitable changes to the pool schedule that disproportionately impacts certain pool users, namely lap swimmers. The current manager is obsessed with water exercise classes and has pretty much ignored every other pool user and demographic over the last several years. I'm not sure what they think is going to happen when the Boomer generation no longer is able to use their facilities because they've all but ignored the rest of the community. I don't know who they think is going to vote for their funding. The lap swim schedule is ridiculous and constantly changing. Not only is it constantly changing, they don't even give you adequate notice so you can maybe adjust your schedule and get your workouts in for the week. People working around a with schedule, need notice at least. Good luck maintaining any kind of consistent workout schedule relying on this pool. I tried to address this with the manager, but she was so dismissive and defensive that I didn't even have a chance to express my full concern or solutions before she became clearly dysregulated and argumentative. The lifeguard staff seems to understand, but Rene seems to lead in a way that doesn't allow for anyone to give her any input. She won't even let them put in the real lane lines for lap swim for crying out loud. I've been around pools my entire life. I was a competitive swimmer and a lifeguard myself and it's more than clear that this pool needs new leadership. It could be such an incredible community resource if someone with a little more sense, leadership, and creativity were in charge. If they don't start figuring out a way to serve their entire community more equitably, they're not going to survive when the Boomers are gone. Working age people are all but ignored by the programming and schedule of this recreation district and frankly we'd be stupid to vote to fund it under the current circumstances. I pay monthly to use the pool and have adjusted my work schedule to accommodate the ridiculous lap swim schedule and still can't reliably access the pool on a consistent schedule. This also causes over crowding in lanes. It's very frustrating and should be addressed. At least spread the burden of all the changes across all pool users so that one group isn't constantly being displaced. I really want to keep using and supporting this pool but I also work and need to be able to rely on the posted schedule.

I've been in yoga classes for the past few years and have had outstanding teachers. All classes have been in "The Annex" on River Road--beautiful wood floors, lots of natural light, lamps as well as overhead lighting, and very good AV equipment for people attending on Zoom. Our River Road Community Organization rents the space for our monthly meetings. It's a welcoming environment, and people who can't get there can participate on Zoom, with good staff support when we need them. Grateful to live in this neighborhood!

This is not a complaint, we go here every Friday to swim and it is always a great experience. However this Friday the water was actually colder then normal. I just shivered the whole time I was in the water. I just had to get out and stop swimming. But most times it is great. And the employees there are always doing an awesome job. We really enjoy coming here to swim.

I'd give no stars if I could! The staff is rude and inconsiderate. Now they doubled their prices. This is the oldest pool/facility around. The whole place is long overdue for remodeling. The locker rooms are old and outdated. They doubled their fees from $4 to $8/ visit. As prices of everything else around are skyrocketing how are they going to double the price? I get it, but I think a $2 raise would be more reasonable. Not double the price. The staff just laughs it off like oh well you don't like it don't come. Seems as though they don't care much about the members in the community that go here.

The teachers are great!!! The classes are fun to watch I love seeing the support my son gets individually who has trisomy 21. It does get Really hot inside but better then cold!
