Dawn and company are amazing and they have a great thing going here. My newly minted husband and I had a fantastic experience with them and this venue, everything from the very beginning tour to the wedding day itself was smooth sailing. Our guests loved being able to feed the donkeys and mini horses treats during our cocktail hour and there are so many locations to set up for your ceremony to get your favorite view, they even have a trail in the trees/woods if you’d rather have that backdrop. Everything about this venue is very laid back, the owners know what they’re doing and are as present as you like them to be, but very easygoing when it comes to making the space how you envision it. Having the Airbnb included with a full day rental was also so convenient and a big plus to booking with this venue in my opinion (we especially appreciated it because we weren’t going on our honeymoon right away and were still able to have a wedding night away from home that felt special!) The pricing is also fair and was one of the more affordable places we looked into in the Wilmington/surrounding area. I hope they get lots more business because they deserve it and are doing a great job, I highly recommend this for weddings and I’m sure the other services they provide are just as lovely :) (Once I get my pictures back from my photographer I’ll be looking to add some more of the property! It did rain on our wedding day lol but that’s not the venues fault!! And it was still beautiful anyways, their covered pavilion was plenty big enough to serve as our last minute plan B haha. We had the absolute wedding of our dreams at Riptide Stables! From the moment we stepped onto the property, we were blown away by how beautiful and peaceful everything was. The grounds are stunning — wide open, perfectly maintained, with a magical countryside vibe that made every photo look like it came straight out of a fairytale. But honestly, what made Riptide Stables truly unforgettable were the animals. The gorgeous horses added such an elegant, serene presence, and the mini donkeys completely stole everyone’s hearts! Our guests couldn’t stop talking about how unique and special it was to have these sweet animals be part of the experience. We added the cocktail hostess experience with the Donkeys and it was such an amazing experience that our guests were able to get a drink and tip our donkey for their service! The team at Riptide Stables went above and beyond to make sure every detail was perfect. They were warm, professional, and genuinely excited to help make our day magical. We felt cared for every step of the way, and the whole event was smooth, joyful, and full of love. A Huge Thank you to both Dawn, Beth, and everyone there they truly were with us every step to make sure the day turned out magical for everyone! We had the apartment above the stable for the day of and night of the wedding which turned out to be one of the best parts of the day! From storing extra food in the kitchen to having a space for my bridal party to get ready to changing for the reception, I was more than grateful that they offered such an amazing and beautiful space to use. Between the first tour and the day of our special event they also added the groom's suite which was perfect for my husband to get ready before the ceremony. If you’re looking for a venue that’s both stunning and unique — with a rustic charm and the added bonus of amazing animals — Riptide Stables is hands down the place to book. We can’t recommend it enough!
