Powered by GoogleI was a bit nervous sending my 4 year old son to RCDC for the first time, but he absolutely loved it! The staff was incredibly organized, and communication was consistent throughout. Yes—Larry is definitely eccentric, but that’s part of what makes the camp so special. It wouldn’t be the same without him at the helm. I really appreciated the daily emails from Larry, keeping us updated on the day's events—I actually found myself missing the emails once camp ended! RCDC gave me peace of mind knowing my child was in a small group with age-appropriate activities and peers, in a setting that felt both safe and engaging. I’ve already signed my son up for Summer 2026 and he can’t wait to go back!
My sister did her daughter's sweet 15 here. Nice place, people are kind and helpful. So if you looking for a spacious place, comes with kitchen, tables all sizes and chairs, this is the place.
Best decision we could’ve made for our 4 year old’s first summer camp experience. She looked forward to going every morning, and we picked up a very happy (very tired!) kid every afternoon. There was something special happening every single day across all age groups - from the on site activities to theme days, special events, and trips. As a working parent, I couldn’t possibly have accomplished so much with my daughter this summer. All that, plus the kids are outdoors and socializing with other children. My daughter made a friend who helped her feel welcomed and comfortable from the start, and is someone I hope she gets to see summer after summer as they grow. Staff is consistently friendly, courteous, and professional. More importantly, my daughter only has good things to say about their interactions with her. We trust she’s safe and in good hands when we drop her off. We couldn’t be happier and will definitely be back next summer.
We love all the opportunities you're camp offers. He's happy there. He asked for the last two weeks to stay at camp. Thank you Larry and staff... hope to see you next year.. the Cook family and Connor
My son absolutely loves it here and honestly, so do I. One of the things that stands out most is how personal everything feels. I get daily announcements from the owners, and it truly makes the whole experience feel like a family-run camp rather than a big, impersonal operation. You can tell they genuinely care about the kids. My son looks forward to the bus coming to get him every morning as that’s when the fun for the day begins! I looked all over Staten Island for the right summer camp, and I’m so happy we chose Richmond County Day Camp. The variety of activities they offer every single day is incredible for there’s always something fun and engaging going on. It’s clear they’ve put a lot of thought into making each day special for the kids. Highly recommend to any parent looking for a safe, warm, and activity-packed camp experience!
