Great place for kids of different ages

The good thing about this center is that it attracts the right people for the most part. A lot of helpful workers, and the elder folks seem to be happy. We had 2 kids go through the preschool program which was a great experience for them. And the teachers were lovely. It does seem like the recreation center has difficulty in communicating with the city and back and forth with needs. There needs be clear leadership in the center to put forward new ideas and actually knows what people in the center and community want.

You can find this place as either “Rhawnhurst Recreation Center” or “Pelbano Playground”. The reasons for 3 stars are: - courts in really bad conditions - few places with shade (toddlers area gets a good shade late in the afternoon) - few benches - playground equipments are limited, (specially in the big kids area): no spinners, spring riders, 1 slide - no inclusive equipments (for instance, inclusive swing seats) Pros - there’s a splash playground (actually is a giant sprinkler, but does it’s job) - huge field where kids can play ball, fly kite, or just run around - option for both toddlers and big kids - easy, free parking

They added the water fountain (waterPark like enjoyment for kids) and kids love it. Nice place for children to play.

Never been inside the recreation center, but there is plenty to do outside especially for kids. There is a little playground where they can go on the slides. Summertime they have sprinklers for them to play in. They have a big baseball field where they have leagues playing. Overall good area to bring your kids to have some fun.
