Powered by GoogleI don’t even have the words to fully explain how impressed my family and I are with this YMCA location. We originally signed up only for the Early Learning Readiness class, looking for a way for our toddler to continue learning and socializing as I transitioned into being a stay at home mom. That program alone is exceptional and a huge asset to the community. Once a week, children ages 0–5 come together for thoughtfully planned, education based stations paired with intentional play, signing, books, music, and dancing, all guided by a dedicated instructor. We have been incredibly lucky to have Ms. Icyreen as our teacher. She is warm, engaging, and genuinely loves what she does. It shows in every interaction. The program is run by Ms. Deja, who keeps families informed and organized and clearly sets the standard for the high quality of these classes. Both deserve serious recognition. What we did not expect was to receive a trial YMCA membership as part of the program, and that ended up being a game changer. Our entire family has taken full advantage of it. The facility itself is beautiful, consistently clean, and never feels overcrowded. The equipment selection is excellent, and even during early morning workouts, I have never had to wait for what I need. But the real standout here is the staff. Every single interaction has been above and beyond. From the front desk, to the cleaning staff, to the lifeguards, everyone is kind, welcoming, and professional. The Kids Club staff deserve special praise. Our toddler had very normal separation anxiety, and I had very real nerves leaving my 11 week old. The staff handled both with care, patience, and genuine compassion. After just two visits, my toddler now runs to Kids Club because he is excited to be there. That level of trust and comfort is everything. As a full time mom, having even one hour to work out while knowing my children are safe, cared for, and happy is an absolute gift. This YMCA has created a truly welcoming and supportive community. The members are kind, the environment is positive, and the care is real. I recommend this location without hesitation, even to families who do not live nearby. We are beyond grateful for the experience we have had here.
I love going to the Tuesday and Thursday 10:00 am Yoga Classes and the Monday Wednesday and Friday Aqua Fitness Classes. I’m a senior citizen and there’s so much to do to keep me active and engaged with others. ❤️
Very Disappointed with My Experience Me, my husband and two kids have a membership. I was very disappointed with how my family and I were treated at the YMCA on October 8th, 2025, around 11 a.m. After our Play with Purpose class, I found out I had a flat tire and went outside to call for help. My mother offered to walk my daughter into Kids Club, but as she passed the front desk, a staff member yelled at her, saying, “Heyyy, you are not a YMCA member!” My mother doesn’t speak English and was left feeling confused and embarrassed. I understand that staff must check memberships for safety, but this could have been handled politely and respectfully. A simple, calm request would have been enough. When I spoke with the manager Quan A Founder, there was no empathy or accountability. He said he needed to “check the cameras” instead of simply listening and understanding. Later, when I returned to get my belongings, the same staff member refused to scan my membership card, and another worker had to step in. This experience went completely against the YMCA’s own core values of Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility. Because of this, I decided to cancel my family’s membership. I hope this situation is used to better train staff on kindness and cultural sensitivity so other families feel welcome and respected.
