Powered by GoogleYearly chicken dinner - half a chicken, cole slaw, green beans, homemade roll and a cupcake for dessert. Excellent, as per usual.
We attended a benrfit BBQ Chicken dinner. This is a great venue even in the rain. It can hold over 150 people and is very well structured for drive thru pickups. Everything was homemade, the rolls and the cupcakes. Everything was brought to your table by very engaged 4H'rs. People came from all over the area. Be sure to place your order early next year.
Grew up here in the summer, county 4-h camp was what I looked forward to starting in 5th grade. I was even a Jr. Counselor for a few years. I loved it there and it felt great to be there today.
Very nice facility, the only problem was no air conditioning, on the hottest day of the year. Other than that the facility was very nice, it was a large area with everything you needed for your event.
The Raleigh county 4H camp, known as home to the local 4H campers, is a beautiful location. Its has annual camping and activities throughout the year. The campgrounds and main buildings are available for rental through WVU extension services. People have had reunions and weddings and graduation parties here in the past.
