We signed up for a softball camp because some friends wanted us to join them. When the friends no longer could go to the camp, we emailed to get a refund and we’re told we couldn’t get one. When I called the phone number it’s disconnected. I would like to have someone contact me so I can talk to someone who knows how to give me a refund.

Our son has played on a couple different Travel teams since he has been 8, We recently moved to the Northland and we heard great things about the prodigy, organization, Our expectations were exceeded to say the least, There coaching is the best we have came across, Lots of one on one Personalized practice settings, There practice facility is awesome it’s just a very well oiled machine they have going! After spending 4.5 years with Prodigy, we learned that it wasn't the right move for us. The owners are unresponsive to email and phone calls most of the time, and every single year, didn't receive portions of our uniforms or orders (which is covered under their contract). Neither owner ever made it right, nor would credit our account for the missing gear and put the problem back on me to solve. My son's situation was a tad different that he was young for his graduation class, so he technically "played down" most of his time, and it took my fighting and clawing with them to allow him to play with his graduation class, and when they finally allowed it, they put him on the worst possible team in his age group, and sent us to the most laughable "showcases" that were never attended my coaches. This told us everything that the owners wouldn't say to our faces; they had zero respect for him or the kids on this team, they just wanted the money. I told them countless times that I prefer honesty, but seldom got that. It felt like a complete money grab, and this was shared through the many parents we met over our time at Prodigy. I would have welcomed them saying to me "he's got potential, but we don't see this panning out" or some other message, rather than building him up, and stabbing him in the back. Not the kind of people you should trust. Your kid will thrive at Prodigy if he falls under the guidelines of: 1) naturally gifted and driven athlete 2) Is a coach favorite 3) willing to deal with the owners not fulfilling their end of the contract 4) keep your mouth shut and avoid offering them advice to improve their business practices 5) don't use them for private lessons. The off-season program wasn't very impressive, and had to bring outside professionals in to help them up their game. Still wasn't anywhere near the type of programs already established around KC. My son is officially done with baseball, so I feel safe putting this review up, not fearing retribution from the owners. Proceed with caution; their allegiance is to their pockets, not your children.
