Prairie Cities Soccer League is a 46-year-old volunteer-run nonprofit recreational soccer league in Bloomington for children ages 4 to 19, and a member of the Illinois Youth Soccer Association. Its 'Everyone Plays' rule requires that every player see at least 50 percent of every game regardless of practice attendance; more than 1,200 players register each year. Seasons are six games in the fall and six in the spring, played on Saturdays and some Tuesday evenings at a 20-field, 60-acre complex on Ireland Grove Road. It is a seasonal league, not a summer camp.

Our son had an unexpected injury outside of soccer very early last fall and eventually was told that he would be out for both the fall and spring season. PCSL was so incredibly accommodating during that time, offering an unexpected credit for the Spring season when he was unable to return. Our daughter had a great fall and spring season and her coach was outstanding! We are looking forward to the seasons ahead!

Tracy, that runs a lot of the day to day needs, has been nothing but accommodating, patient, understanding, flexible, and kind. I have either called her or emailed her at least 20 times since we started and she is super responsive and helpful. We've had to switch my oldest teams a couple times because of scheduling conflicts (and his first team that had a not so nice coach) and although I felt like a pain in the butt - she NEVER made me feel that way and did her best to find us new teams that worked well for us. Honestly, most people that would have had to deal with as many changes as I've had to request would not have been as understanding so I cannot thank her enough! Also - huge shout out to Kat who is an amazing coach and a great asset to this league!!
★Jianwei LaiJust wanted to share my experience for any parents considering signing up for two seasons at once. I enrolled my son for both Fall 2024 and Spring 2025. In August 2024, I notified them that we wouldn’t be continuing in Spring 2025, and they confirmed on August 26, 2024, that we would receive a refund (email attached). However, on March 2, 2025, I received roster information for the team and reached out again. I was then informed that they could no longer issue the refund—despite initially agreeing to process it on August 26, 2024—and that they had simply forgotten to notify me. Now it is also too late for me to adjust our schedule to participate.
★Steven ByersZero flexibility. You'll go where they put you, with zero reason or explanation, and they couldn't care less. Lady that works the front desk/phone is possibly the rudest person I've ever experienced. Literally every person we've talked to, parents and coaches in the league, have said the same thing. Just check out the response for verification. They even admitted their policies are only to serve them. But you signed up, your loss. And that's the purpose of this review, to make sure everyone knows, if you sign up, this is what you'll get.
