Bloomington Tennis & Turf, now trading as Blono Tennis & Turf, is an indoor court-and-turf facility in Bloomington opened in 2016 by Mark and Michelle Bowers, and it runs several youth summer camps: a Junior 3-Sport Mini Summer Camp, a Youth Tennis Summer Camp and the Val Walker Soccer Camp. It bills itself as Central Illinois' leading junior tennis training center, drawing juniors from Champaign, Springfield, Peoria and beyond, with coaches who played D-1, D-2 or high-level club tennis. The building holds three regulation courts plus a 36-foot mini court sized for younger children that doubles as a pickleball court, and an indoor turf field with full-length netting and a 41-foot peak ceiling, marked for softball, baseball, 6v6 soccer, football and boys' and girls' lacrosse. Beyond camps it runs junior and adult tennis clinics, pickleball clinics, cardio tennis, private lessons and birthday parties. Camp registration is by Google Form linked from the site.

I’m very much a competitive amateur when it comes to tennis and pickleball, but it’s been so fun to bring friends to play. Our kids have taken lessons here too, and along the way, I’ve made some great friends and connections. We’ve hosted adult beginner pickleball party tournaments for friends birthdays (truly a blast!) and I’d absolutely recommend this place for hardcore professionals or newbies alike! Kash and Simo are fantastic (and patient!) instructors who truly make it a fun environment. I’ll keep taking clinic classes as long as they’re offered!
