Popovsky Performing Arts Studio runs summer musical theatre camps for rising 1st through 12th graders at Lancaster Country Day School's facilities. Younger campers (rising 1st-5th) work on shows such as 101 Dalmatians Kids, Shrek Kids and Finding Nemo Kids, while rising 6th-12th graders stage Matilda Jr., Into the Woods Jr. and The Little Mermaid Jr.; both age groups also have a one-week Cabaret Week. Camps combine acting, singing and dance instruction with rehearsal, and every 2026 camp ends with a performance on the final day. The studio, which has run camps since 2011, offers tuition assistance.

Christyn Rutter is a wonderful and engaging teacher and you can tell she truly loves working with the young children. My 2.5 year old son had a bad speech delay and the music classes built up his confidence and increased his language skills within a couple of weeks. The class is a great bonding experience for families and a wonderful way to expose babies and preschoolers to all types of music. We all look forward to class and love that we are given song books and CD's to enjoy the music at home and in the car.
