Piknik Theatre is a Steamboat Springs nonprofit professional theatre company that runs youth theatre camps each summer for more than 45 students, with immersive training in acting, movement and storytelling. Campers work together to write, rehearse and perform their own versions of classic cross-cultural fables and folktales, finishing with a showcase for family and friends; no prior acting experience is required. Scholarships are available as needed, and the company states that no young person is denied the camp experience based on ability to pay.
