Perry-Mansfield Performing Arts School & Camp is a historic dance, theater, and equestrian camp on 76 acres in Strawberry Park near Steamboat Springs, founded in 1913 and the oldest continuously operating dance and theater school in the U.S. It serves about 200 students each summer through age-tiered programs, from an arts-discovery program and equestrian day camp for ages 7-12 to junior and pre-professional dance and theater intensives for teens. However, the property managers were unresponsive and appeared to lack interest in hosting our wedding. In particular, we experienced challenges communicating and receiving responses on important deadlines and facility expectations throughout the planning process. Fortunately, our planner and vendors were flexible and the PM maintenance staff worked diligently to ensure the venue was ready for our wedding weekend. This venue is full of opportunity but prospective couples run the risk of extra stress and last minute hang ups due to the lack of communication from management.
